Performance-Based Testing:

Proving Your Experience Autodesk Professional Certification exams are performance-based (testing by performing). Instead of simply answering questions about how you might accomplish a task, you actually perform the task using the Autodesk application. Performance-based testing is widely accepted and is a better way of ensuring that you have the skills needed for the application. Logos can be used by candidates who successfully complete the certification exams.

LEVELS OF CERTIFICATION:

Autodesk has a scalable certification ladder for each product vertical, where a candidate moves from and Entry Level to and Expert level in any of the desired products. Autodesk currently has testing and certification for the following products:

Type:20 items, performance based exam using software Practice test available
3. The Autodesk Certified Expert Certificate
Type:Performance based exam using software
Exam content:15 specialized questions/exercises for specific jobs (e.g. Sheet metal)

Where to begin and how to go about it?

To attain an Autodesk Certification, you must pass an Autodesk Certification exam or a series of exams and follow some simple steps. To help ensure your success, step through each of these areas :

Step 1. Choose the Certification that is right for you:

Choose the level and the Autodesk application that best meets the skills you require.  By reviewing the exam guide detailing the skills you’ll need you can learn what to expect.

Step 2. Assess your readiness:

To assess your knowledge of the product, take an assessment test and then take a practice test for the Professional-level exams. For the new 2009 products, these practice tests simulate the actual performance-based test and will give you a good indication of your readiness.

Step 3. Get the training you need:

Take classes at an Autodesk Authorized Training Center (ATC) site or use AOTC courseware.

Step 4.  Practice your skills and apply your training:

To gain experience, practice what you’ve learned.

Step 5. Take the exam required:

Take your exam by registering at an Autodesk Certification Center.
